White crayon resist and Darkroom Door

May 21, 2010

Here are some samples made out of Darkroom Door images with the white crayon technique. Directions: Use white wax crayon to highlight areas of your stamped imaged (stamp out using archival or permanent ink).  Then simply blend Distress Ink or other dye based inks over the top for a “resist” finish. So easy but very effective.  Enjoy! the girls at Destination Art!!

Haven’ used this technique. May just have to dig out the crayons and try it out again.

Did try it with the kids crayons but will try and track down a wax pencil like you girls used the other day.

Girls
we have also used a Chinagraph white pencil from the Stationery store and that works very well too!
