Have you got a bottle of Tim Holtz’s distress paint at home that you haven’t used yet because you’re not sure what to do with it? Then it’s time to bust it out and have a play. This ATC shows distress paint on both chipboard (butterfly) and grungeboard (heart). Distress paint can be left alone after cracking or you can do cool things with it – like you see with the butterfly. This crazed effect is made by simply swiping an inkpad across the dried paint, then wiping and working the excess ink into the paint crack. As you can see we used a light coloured paint and a darker coloured inkpad but you can also do the reverse of that too and come up with some cool finishes. Tim has a great video on using distress paint as a resist and it is well worth watching as he also walks you through tips and techniques on getting the best and most out of your Distress Paint. http://www.timholtz.com/vid_crackle-resist.htm
